SPIRULINA IS AN AMAZING ALGAE WHICH IS THE OLDEST LIFE FORM ON EARTH AND PREDATES ALL OTHER CREATURES.
Spirulina is found floating in water, feeding on the liquid nutrients. After growing to about 1 millimeter in length it splits into two and then the two grow independently. This way it can double its weight in 24 hrs given proper conditions.
Spirulina is misunderstood by some to be a animal bacteria and thus thought to be a non-vegetarian food. However Spirulina consumes carbon dioxide just like plants and has chlorophyll like plants and leaves oxygen into the atmosphere just like plants do. Just because it is not rooted to the ground it cannot be termed as an animal species or bacteria. It is beyond doubt an edible algae.
Even some bacteria are edible and are in fact eaten by humans. The Curds which we all including pure vegetarians eat consists of bacteria called Lactococcus Lactis which produces the Lactic Acid that curdles milk. The picture of this bacteria is more meat like in look and it is a single celled animal and not an algae like Spirulina. Even then we all eat Curds. This is reason enough for us to accept Spirulina as a good super food leaving aside the silly argument that it is a single celled animal, which it is not.
